Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This policy explains how IRRICO PTY LTD (ABN 48 600 430 279, ACN 600 430 279) ("Irrico", "we", "us", "our") collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information.

It applies to irrico.com.au and to customers and enquiries handled in Australia.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the APPs.

1. What we collect

We collect the personal information we need to answer enquiries, prepare quotes, supply goods and run our business. Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:

  • Contact details: your name, business name, email address, phone number, and postal or delivery address.
  • Quote request details (from our Request a Quote page for complete Irrico-V and Irrico-L machines, each available as a centre pivot or a lateral move): your name, phone number, email address, postcode or town, a map pin showing your site location, and details of the job, such as the machine type (centre pivot or lateral move), the machine line (IRRICO™ V, built to suit the Valley® structure, or IRRICO™ L, built to suit the Zimmatic® structure), whether the machine is new or a replacement, material finish, sprinkler and end gun preferences, the area to be irrigated, water supply, power supply, crop and application rate, and timing.
  • Machine and parts details: machine make, model and serial number, span or tower details, part numbers and photos you send us.
  • Contact form and messages: what you send us by our Enquiries form (name, email, phone number and comment), email, phone or social media.
  • Order, payment and delivery details: what you order, invoices, deposits and payments, and delivery details. All payments, including deposits for complete machines, are made by direct bank transfer, so we receive the payer name and reference shown on the transfer.
  • Email sign-up: your email address if you subscribe to our emails.
  • Website information: information collected by cookies and analytics tools (see section 7), such as your IP address, pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived at our site.

We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information). Please don't include it in messages or forms.

You can browse our website without telling us who you are. You can also make a general enquiry by phone without giving your full name. If you don't give us the information we ask for, we may not be able to prepare a quote or supply goods.

2. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you: through our website forms, when you email or call us, when you place or pay for an order, and during a site assessment. Sometimes we receive it from others, for example from an installer, electrician or freight carrier working on your job, or from someone who refers you to us.

3. Why we use it

We use your personal information to:

  • answer your enquiry and prepare your quote, including the site assessment and the freight estimate;
  • check that parts suit your machine;
  • process, deliver and support your order, including warranty claims and returns;
  • keep business, tax and accounting records;
  • run, secure and improve our website, products and service;
  • send you news and offers by email, if you have agreed (see section 6).

Your site location (map pin)

We use the map pin you place on the Request a Quote form as the centre point of the proposed machine, to prepare your quote and to locate the proposed site. We do not use it for marketing and we do not sell it.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed for the purposes above, with:

  • Shopify, which hosts our website and online store and sends website form submissions to us by email;
  • our email and IT providers, including Microsoft (Microsoft 365), which provides our email;
  • Mailchimp, which we use for our email sign-up and marketing emails;
  • Google (Google Analytics and Google Maps), Esri, OpenStreetMap and unpkg services used on our website (see sections 5 and 7);
  • freight carriers and couriers, so they can deliver to you;
  • dealers, installers, electricians, suppliers and other service providers, where needed to quote, assess the site for, supply, install or repair your goods;
  • our bank, accountant and professional advisers;
  • government agencies or others where the law requires or authorises it.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of the providers we use store or process personal information outside Australia:

  • Shopify (website, store and form emails): Canada, the United States and other countries where Shopify or its providers operate.
  • Google (Google Analytics, tag ID G-WV2KQ04G98): the United States and other countries where Google operates.
  • Microsoft (Microsoft 365 email): email and documents are stored in Microsoft's cloud in Australia.
  • Google Maps: our Contact page shows an embedded Google map of our location. When the page loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may set cookies. Google operates in the United States and other countries.
  • Request a Quote map: the map on our quote form is built with the Leaflet map library, loaded from unpkg.com (a third-party content delivery network). It shows satellite imagery from Esri (server.arcgisonline.com), and uses OpenStreetMap's Nominatim search service (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) to look up your postcode or town. When you use the map or search, your browser sends your IP address, the area of the map you view and the text you search for to these providers. Esri is based in the United States. The OpenStreetMap Foundation is based in the United Kingdom and its servers may be in the United Kingdom, Europe and other countries.
  • Mailchimp (email sign-up and marketing emails, and a Mailchimp tracking tool on our website): Mailchimp is operated by Intuit in the United States.

We take reasonable steps to choose providers that protect personal information. Some of these providers set their own terms, and we cannot control how they handle information under the laws of those countries.

6. Emails and marketing (Spam Act 2003)

We send marketing emails only to people who have subscribed or otherwise agreed. Asking for a quote or sending an enquiry does not sign you up for marketing. Every marketing email identifies Irrico, tells you how to contact us and includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by emailing info@irrico.com.au. We act on unsubscribe requests within 5 business days. We will still send you messages about your quotes, orders and warranty claims.

7. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technology to make the store work (for example, to remember your country, currency and cart) and to understand how visitors use the site. These include:

  • Shopify's own cookies and analytics;
  • Google Analytics (G-WV2KQ04G98), which tells us how visitors find and use our website;
  • Mailchimp's tracking tool, which helps us understand how our marketing emails and store perform;
  • the embedded Google map on our Contact page;
  • the map (Leaflet, Esri imagery) and OpenStreetMap postcode search on the Request a Quote page (see section 5).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). Some parts of the site may not work properly without cookies.

8. Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires (for example, tax records). After that, we delete it or remove identifying details. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the people affected and the OAIC where the law requires.

9. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email info@irrico.com.au or call 08 8186 5326. There is no charge to make a request. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If we refuse access or correction, we will tell you why in writing and how you can complain.
